Tangnata Whenua
Tangnata whenua
I watched a video about Tangnata Whenua that means the people of the land. The Maori were the first people to live in New Zealand. The Maori arrived from Hawiki. How did the Maori arrive in New Zealand? They got to New Zealand by a Waka/canoe .What did they bring to New Zealand? They brung 15-25 Waka and 150 people. How did they get food? They brung crops, kumar and the ate animals on land/ flightless birds. Explain how the moa became extinct. The Maori ate all the moa to live. Why did the Maori choose to settle here? They couldn't get back to Hawiki because the strong winds blowing them.
Kia Ora Caleb. You have written a good blurb about Tangata Whenua. It is great that you have recalled lots of important information about the arrival of Maori people in Aotearoa and how they found food to survive.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.
