Activity 3: Mass Migration

I think that its a bad idea to build a wall between the U.S.A and mexico.Because they need to share lands and become friend so then there wont be a lot of money being used.So then they can use money for buildings and other stuff.

real or fake news

In cyber smart we were learning about real of fake.We went on a site to show stuff that has been captured on video to see if its real or not.We figured it out that it was fake.We made a sheet on what is fake and real sites.We write down what we new was fake and real new.What i liked about this is we learnt about real and fake news.What i didn't like is i forgot what it was. here is the site   https://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/sightings.html

harry potter times table

In strand maths we have been learning about time.We got given a sheet the we had to figure out the questions on the sheet.The sheet was kind of hard but i got it finished then we took a picture to put on the blog.What i liked about doing this is learning more about time.What i didn't like was it took a while to complete.

Dream Destination

In cyber smart we worked on our dream destination.We took a picture then we went on remove.bg to insurt the picture.What will remove all of the background then only you are there.Then what we do is download the picture then pick a background unsplach.com.Then we put it on a goggle drawing.What i liked about this is we learnt how to edit.What i didn't like is it took a long time.

Kennings

A kenning  is a poem that gives hints of what it is telling you. I had 2 words that would describe the thing my 2 words about it was a noise maker and a fast mover.What i liked about this was we learnt a new type of poem.What i didn't like was that we had to draw a picture of the animal.

Timestables

Today in strand maths we were learning about time.We got our maths books and we set out a time table of the train station and the departure time.We got 3 questions about the time table for how long it took to get here to here.What i liked about this is we learnt more about time.What i didn't like about this is that we had to work harder than i thought

Name art

For the past week we were doing name art.We did our name in block letter or bubble writing i chose bubble writing.When we drawed the first letter of our name then we drawed different patterns all around it.When we did that we gave it to the teacher to put on the wall.

What is Horton like

This week in Literacy i looked at Horton Hatches the egg. I found it easy because we just had to write what happens in the story.I found it hard because it took a while.

Where is kei hea

In te reo maori we are learning to say when an object is.We learnt about what the singular and plurals in Maori. Kei hea te - where is Kei hea nga - where are. This is the work I completed with my buddy. I found this hard because i don't understand mouri good.I found it easy because i sat on the mat for a little more.

math

Today in maths we were learning about fractions.We got giving 2 pieces of paper then we had to cut them into 2 different fractions.Then we stuck them into our maths books.

Onomatopeia words

Today in Litaracy we read the book what's next. Then we had to get 2 peaces of paper then we had to write a onomatopoeia word on the paper. Then we cut it out then we glued it on the other paper then it's done!

Alan The Alien

Today in reading we read Alan the Alien. We read the whole book then we made a sheet of who,what,where,when,why,how and we summarise the words. I liked how we made a sheet of this. I didn't like it because we read a big book.

Filling someones bucket

Today in our homerooms we were doing how to fill someones bucket. We had to make a google drawing of 3 thing we can do this week to fill someones bucket.I did say thank you,tell someone their work is good and smile at someone. What i liked about doind this was being able to make someones day. what i didn't like was we can only do three.

An Alien stole my Movie

Today in litaracy we were reading a book called an alien stole my movie or Alan the alien.WWe read the whole book and then we made a sheet to write who,where,when,how,why. What i like about this is we could summarise. What i didn't like is that we had to read 5 chapters.

5 ways to do when your stress

Today in pb4l we were doing 5 things to do when your stress. We traced over our hands on paper. Then we had to write 5 ways to calm your self down when your stress. When we writ our stuff we had to couler it in.

The Day The Crayons Quit

In Literacy we read the story the day the crayons quit. We laked about the feelings of the crayons. We looked at blue crayons letter. We had to show what the crayons said in the story.

Being Cyber Safety Online

Today in cybersmart we were learning about cyber safety. We watched a video of being cyber safety then we made a canva,powtoon or a biteible . I picked Canva this is mine it took me about 10 minutes to make it. We learnt 4 things to be cyber safe. what i liked about doing this is we did it interdependently.I didnt like doing this because it was a little challenging. Nest Eggs

Today in statistics we done nest eggs in a picture graph. We had to follow the instructions and draw a graph in our math books. There were questions about the graph and we took them to answer them. we had to draw pictures in the graph to show what to do.

Today in our home rooms we made a Canva about a weekly wrap. I did mine about math. In mine it is talking about fractions . I learnt a lot more fractions i put 2 in.

Man On The Moon

In reading we are learning to summarise. We read a newspaper article about the first moon landing in 1969. we had to pick out the key words and put them into sentences.

Alien Description

In writing we are learning to use abjectives. We had to describe an alien. We brainstormed together words and sentences. We had to put them into sentences using full stops and capital letters.

Canva bookmark

In cybersmart we were learning about Canva. we made a maori weather bookmark telling how is the weather and awnser in maori. When we asked all of the questions we were done we made a bookmark.

aliens

In Reading we read the story aliens love underparts. It is about aliens coming to earth to steal underparts. We had 4 activities to do.They were 1. create a sign to tell the aliens to stop taking the underparts.2.
design a super fantastic amazing pair of underpants that the aliens would love the most.3. Design a new spacecraft for the aliens.4. design a sticker for the aliens spacecraft.

the red maze Digi awards

For the past 6 weeks me and my buddy have been working on a red maze slide animation. Before we started we had to choose what we should do. We settled on the red maze. So the we got a big peace of paper ad the planed out what we were gonna do with it. When we planed it it was time to work on it. The whole point of this was to put more technology into the city and get smarter with mazes. At the end of the maze is 2 stands 1 of them is a toy stand and a time stand. what i liked about doing this is doing Digi awards for the first time. What i didn't like was trying to make it under 3 minutes.

The Three Little Pigs

We read the three different versions of the three little pigs. As a group we descried what the characters were like. We compared two versions of the story. We said what was the same ad what was different.The activities i completed were create a wanted poster and re write the three little pigs story. My favourite version  was the one where the pigs called the police because the wolf got put i jail.

parachute

For the past 2 weeks we have been designing a parachute for inquiry. Me and my buddy tried to make it so jack the lego man could jump of the beanstalk. We tried to make it so the plastic bread bag and we could only use 2 things and some string. You are allowed to choose 2 things from the table a 1 peice of string. You have the choise of paper napkins,large and small cupcake holders and difrent sized bags. we didn't get to finish the project we tried 2 times to make it the first time it was a fail and the 2nd we didn't finish.

positions,directions and coordinates

Today inn maths strand we were learning about directions we had to make a grid to make up directions. We could use degress   right left forward and back.  i made my grid and i got my buddy we tried to do it on a real grid it took us about 2 tries.

football

Today me and my literacy class were doing information report. We could pick any sport i picked football. I had to research about football. Then i wrote the descriptions onto my sheet. Then i wrote the words on the sheet then added them to the doc. I liked doing the work because it let me learn about working on my own. I  didn't like doing it because was hard doing step by step.

I think if there were 3 people and they were in a circle the middle one will be in because they rhyme ends at the middle. I will not be in the middle ill be on the side right/left. if there were 2 people and you do want to be in start with the other person. but if you don´t want to be in start with the other person.

balancing

Today me and my class balancing on the playground. We made an optical cores  and had turns. The rules were no hands allowed only balancing if you used your hands your out its like the floor is lava. We had 2 turns each when it was my turn it was hard to balance 1 person made it through. i liked it because it was challenging i didn't like it because making it through the course.

straw rafts

In inquiry we are learning about the design process. The design process is where you plan,design and test a product or theory. Sometimes when you test it doesn't work  and you have to start at the beginning again to see how you would make it better. Mrs mcg gave us a challenge. We had to plan design+build a straw raft to float with 40g of weight on it we could only use 20 straws ad our raft failed 5 times because we didn´t put them in a state line.We did some research about how rafts float and we found that you need to have no gaps in your raft.We  found the challenging we didn´t get it done.

going on a bear hunt-maths directions

In maths we are learning about directions. We listened to the story going on a bear hunt. We picked out the obstetrical in the story. We then drew a map of the story. We had to carefuly think about the directions. Then we had to write  down the directions from the how to the cave we had to use north east south west.

the lorax

in Literacy we have been reading by Dr. Suess called The Lorax. We learnt all about the characters. We described The Lorax and The Once-ler. We wrote descriptions about the Once-ler. We compared the characters. We looked an what was the same and what was different about them.

coordinates

in maths we re learning about coordinates. We  learnt that you say the letter first then the number. Our map was about the story little red riding hood. We had to do 2 things. First we had to write down where the pictures are we write down the letter and number. Then we drawed the pictures on the bottom and couler them in.

pigeon impossible

 Today in literacy we watched pigeon impossible.We had a choice of 4 thing´s i did the wanted poster. in the poster we had to make a picture why they are wanted and the reward. I loved this because making the bird was challenging. The thing that was hard is the couler and border.

on monday we had to pea up i was with Arwen. we had to think of some think to act. We choose scooter ''I said i fell over! she said are you ok i said yes thank you she said no problem the end.

big bock odis o doodle

                                                                         In reading we read Otis o doodle. The story is about a man name Otis o doodle making objects for animals and creatures. he makes them and then tells Harriet hall all of his ideas. After reading it we designed our own invention for an animal I created a bunny for wings.

   

instant pudding

in writing we have learning to use wow words. We had to describe what instant pudding tasted,smelt,and felt like. I found whiting all the words easy. I found get every thing on the blog hard.

kindness

today we were writing a poem about kindness.
And we brain stormed. In the poem my literacy group had to do about five sentences. And I write seven sentences didn´t
´t find anything hard i found getting on with it easy 

the red poem

 In writing today we have been writing cooler poems. I liked getting help to write my poem and i have been asking for opines and i should change the words to sentences. And before we did the red poem together.And then i did the red poem on my own.

hockey

Today we had peter from Canterbury hockey visit us. In hockey we were learning about how to dribble properly and how to keep it on the stick like glue. First we did dribbling we had to imaging the ball was stuck to the stick like glue. After that we learnt how to stop and dodge other players. We had to control the ball at all times Lastly we played  a game like rob the next we had to take the balls from the middle and there was numbers 1 to 6 then peter called out our numbers the we had to run up and get a ball and dribble it back to your spot. then when all the balls wen,tt in the middle you had to steal the balls from other people.
