Parihaka information

 The invasion of Parihaka , the attack started on the 5th November 1881 . Parihaka is a community in the Tarnaki region, about 1600 troops invaded the western Taranaki settlement of Parihaka, witch had come to symbolise peaceful resistance to the confiscation of Maori land.
